ICBL Barbados completed a clean sweep of their UNNA/ICBL Cheshire tour series when they defeated the visiting Cheshire team 4.5 to 2 in the finals at Holder’s Hill yesterday afternoon.
Jaime Dickson was the hometown hero, scoring two goals to ensure Barbados remained unbeaten in the three match series.
Starting with a half-point advantage, Barbados carried that lead into the second chukka after neither side managed to score in the opening period.
Dickson increased that lead for Barbados early in the second chukka though, only for Cheshire’s Charlie Walton to pull one back just moments later.
Teddy Williams then gave the home side a 2.5 to 1 lead with a strike just before the half.
Oliver Taylor kept the visitors in the hunt with a goal in the third chukka, but goals from Dickson and Danny Atwell secured the victory for Barbados.
