BIG START FOR MASERATI POLO TOUR

bigstartformaseratipolotour-5-2015-5-261GThis weekend “Julius Baer Beach Polo World Cup Sylt” showed polo at its finest and delighted up to 10,000 spectators on site – including many fans of the Polo Team Maserati with Marc Aberle and Tim Ward.

For two days, the five polo teams created good sports in favourable weather conditions at the Beach Polo Arena in Hoernum on the fashionable North Sea island of Sylt. Among the guests of the now well-established “Julius Baer Beach Polo World Cup Sylt” were also a number of VIP-personalities from business, politics and show business, including German celebrity Verona Pooth.

“We are proud that the Maserati Polo Tour makes its first stop in Germany”, says Dirk Kemmer, Managing Director Maserati for Germany, Austria and Switzerland: “Beach polo offers a very special charm, which is enhanced by the unique atmosphere of Sylt.”

The spectators were treated to a very different kind of horsepower during the breaks: Maserati Germany in collaboration with several trading partners took advantage of the sporting event and offered visitors personal test drives with the high-performance cars of the current model range. Besides the two sport sedans Ghibli and Quattroporte the open GranCabrio pushed the audience with great interest on Sylt island, too.

The involvement of Maserati in polo sport, which is already running for several years, is accompanied by a successful partnership with the world’s leading suppliers of polo equipment, La Martina. This cooperation includes, among other things, a new lifestyle collection which adores both Maserati and La Martina well-known hallmarks. It was presented in spring at the 87th Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence.
