Today the HPA, the UK’s governing body, have announced the England side that will take to the field at Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire on Saturday 13 June. Led by Captain Mark Tomlinson, the England team will also feature 5 goalers Matt Perry and Pete Webb as well as 1 goaler Ralph Richardson, who at the young age of 19 will be making his full International debut.

The 17 goal English side will be taking on competition in the form or Ireland’s Max Hutchinson, Seb Dawnay, Mikey Henderson and the Earl of Tyrone, in the season’s second Test Match.
The battle between England and Ireland will be the centrepiece event of a weekend long programme of polo. Also taking place at the Gloucestershire Club will be a contest between England Ladies (Lucy Taylor, Emma Wood, Nina Clarkin and Tamara Fox) and a Rest of the World Ladies side that is yet to be confirmed.
Sunday’s action then welcomes both HRH The Duke of Cambridge and HRH Prince Harry to the field, with the brothers joining some of the sport’s top rated players for a charity match. The great finale will then come in the form of a newly introduced tournament for children, with proceeds going towards The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The Beaufort International Javier Novillo Astrada U15 Cup will feature some of polo’s greatest potential talents, and it is hoped that the tournament will become a key part of the event.
