The first Lovelocks Stud Polo Auction will take place November 9 at La Indiana Polo Club in General Rodríguez. The events will be attended by big polo names such as Eduardo Heguy and David Stirling. Lovelocks Polo Stud is an Embrio Transfer Center for breeding polo ponies. The center is equipped with the latest technology so as to guarantee efficiency, safety and quality.
The Hanbury family bought land in Lobos, province of Buenos Aires, about ten years ago; they decided to start breeding in 2010 with the aim of producing the best polo ponies in the world. To achieve this, they incorporated genetics form Ellerstina, Ellerston, La Dolfina, Los Machitos, and La Irenita, among others.
For this auction, the goal was to combine mares who played the Open from various players and breeders exclusively with Lovelock Stallions, thus creating a novel and attractive genetic.
The facilities at Lovelocks Polo Stud are specially designed for the care of all the horses arriving there. These range from large paddocks to smaller pens, and stables for mares just out of training. There are specific stallion boxes and turn out paddocks.
