First winter edition of the Cartier International Dubai Polo Challenge

international-dubai-polo-challengePlayed under the patronage of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Cartier is hosting its celebrated Dubai polo tournament in December for the first time.

From 8-12 December 2015, four international teams, featuring players from the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Europe and Argentina, will be playing a week of league matches in a bid to reach Saturday’s final and win a coveted Cartier watch. Two of Dubai’s leading polo playing families – the Albwardys and the Al Habtoors – are teaming up together in one team for the first time in the tournament’s 10-year history.

Mr. Laurent Gaborit, Managing Director of Cartier Middle East, India and Africa, will host Saturday’s prestigious final at Desert Palm Polo Club – an oasis of sporting luxury in Dubai.

This unique blend of great sport and Cartier hospitality has already ensured that the Cartier International Dubai Polo Challenge has been Dubai’s most coveted invitation for more than a decade. This new winter date can only add to an already impressive reputation.
