Teams Announced for May Tournament
The announcement of the teams for the Julius Bär Beach Polo World Cup in Sylt heralds an exciting event, set against some of the most stunning scenery of Northern Germany’s coastline.
Now in its eighth year, the beautiful Beach Polo World Cup at Hörnum, Sylt, will be welcoming back over 10,000 spectators for this year’s tournament on the 23 and 24 of May.
In a setting starkly contrasting to their dashing display at the PIPA Snow Polo Championships Tour, Team Maserati (Marc Aberle, Tim Ward) will be facing competition in the shape of defending champions Team Lanson (Christian Grimme, Thomas Winter), with other contestants comprising Team Pomellato & Windy, Team König Pilsener and Team Julius Bär themselves.
In their fifth year of sponsorship, Julius Bär have organised live music and skydiving to entertain the crowds, as well as the opportunity to test yachts by Windy, and get a closer look at some of Pomellato’s gorgeous jewellery.
Team Julius Bär: Caspar Crasemann (3), Christopher Winter (3)
Team Lanson: Christian Grimme (0), Thomas Winter (4)
Team König Pilsener: René Kleinlugtenbelt (-1), Patrick Maleitzke (3)
Team Pomellato & Windy: Frank Kirschke (-2), Agustin Kronhaus (3)
Team Maserati: Marc Aberle (-2), Tim Ward (4)
