virMIDDLEBURG, Va., July 28, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The National Sporting Library & Museum hosts its 5th Annual Benefit Polo Match & Brunch on September 13, 2015. This year’s polo season will culminate with the top women players vying for the title in one exciting 25- goal match at the picturesque Virginia International Polo Club in Upperville, VA.

Stars in professional women’s polo competing include Sunny Hale, the most famous woman polo player in the world who established women in the sport, top Argentinian player Lia Salvo and Maureen Brennan, the owner of the Goose Creek team and Virginia International Polo Club.

“This supermatch, to benefit the National Sporting Library & Museum, is a one-of-a-kind match for women’s polo,” said Maureen Brennan. “There are very few opportunities to see a game of this caliber anywhere in the world. This is the only scheduled women’s high-goal match in the country outside of the US Women’s Open.”

In addition to non-stop adrenaline, the event will feature a luxurious marathon of culinary brunch masterpieces and legendary French Bouvet Ladubay wines. Patricia Underwood, the internationally renowned and Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) winning milliner who has collaborated with Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta and Broadway, will judge the hat contest. For those who want even more horsepower, the Ferrari Club of America, Mid-Atlantic Chapter, will also be present with more than twenty Ferraris at the tailgate.
