The third polo match in aid of Scholas Ocurrentes, the educational institution launched by Pope Francis, took place in England, at Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club. The two first events were held at Lechuza Caracas (Palm Beach, United States) and Real Club de Polo (Barcelona, Spain). The next polo match in aid of Scholas will be on August 20, at Santa María Polo Club, en Sotogrande.
Scholas and Berkshire, the two lineups that met up at Berkshire tied at 5-all, following a very attractive contest. It started as an usual exhibition, but in the end both foursomes fought hard and played open and quick polo during the last chukka, in search of the victory.
Pepe Heguy produced one of the best goals of the match – a 60 yards shot from the boards. However, all of the players showed their powerful skills.
Following the match and the awards presentation, the players signed team jerseys and everybody enjoyed a great asado.
