How To Spend It British 10 Goal Championship
The Financial Times’ award winning luxury lifestyle magazine How to Spend It lent their name as sponsors to The British 10 Goal Championship. The first round of the How To Spend It British 10 Goal Championship kicked off on Monday 20 July, with a close call match where Tempest took on the boys of Hurlingham 1875. After a hard fought match between the two teams, Tempest’s Ryan Pemble, Gustav Rausing, Faisal Al Rifai and Adolfo Casabal reigned supreme with a 3-2 win. They will be facing the formidable Black Bears team, made up of Charlie Pidgley, Guy Schwarzenbach, Jack Berner and New Zealander Simon Keyte, who beat Snakebite with a final score of 5 goals to 3, on Wednesday 22 July. Brothers Tom and George Meyrick along with teammates David Ashby and Maximilian Kirchhoff will be disappointed not to have made it to the Final, which is due to be played as a warm-up to the prestigious Royal Salute Coronation Cup International. The Final between Tempest and Black Bears will be take place at 11am this Saturday 25 July at Guards Polo Club. The Final will be watched by the many spectators who will be flocking to The Queen’s Ground for the International between England and South America scheduled for 3pm.
