University polo will feature at the 8th edition of The British Beach Polo Championships for the first time. Karina Kaute-Brown (-1), Harr Hoare (0) and Archie Smyth Osborne (1) from Exeter University, will look to build on their success at the SUPA University Nationals by taking on Charley Howell (-1), Tom Harris (-1) and Tom Parry-Jones (0) from Bristol University.

Karina Kaute-Brown who came up with the idea and arranged the teams said, “We are very excited about playing in this prestigious and established tournament. The beaches look incredible and it is a little nerve-wracking to think that in four weeks we will be playing here in front of such a large crowd.”

In the main tournament, reigning champions Clogau Wales Polo Team, who most recently won the tournament at Hurtwood Park Polo Club in the Rock ‘n’ Horsepower event, will be playing against The Barbarians, as well as teams from Scotland and England.

Depending on the direction of the wind, a kite surfer will also take part in a car vs polo pony charity race in aid of the children’s charity, Variety. Beach Volleyball will once again return to the sand for 2015 with ‘The REVOlution Sandslam’. This year sees the British Ladies meet their Olympic qualifier rivals Greece in what looks set to be a gruelling grudge match not to be missed.
