A large number of people watched the semifinals of the All Asia Cup at VR Sports Club.
In the first game, Thailand met Philippines. The latter had showcased good polo during the qualifying stage, but today the local team had a stronger start, overwhelming their rivals. Philippines tightened their attack and made a comeback to put in danger what seemed to be an easy win for Thailand. However, Thailand managed to hold Philippines back and claim a 7-4 win and a spot in the final.
Title holders, Indonesia, faced Malaysian Tigers. It was a thrilling contest, and as all of the other matches Indonesia had previously played, it was decided in the last play, with a penalty conversion by Novel Momongan. The penalty sealed Indonesia’s win by 6-5.
Indonesia and Thailand will face each other in the final of the All Asia Cup.
