Brunei recovers with a solid victory

Brunei solidly defeated Dos Lunas A&G Banca Privada by 16-10, in a great recovery after losing on their debut on the Cartier Gold Cup.

The Casa de Campo Silver Cup champion debuted in the Gold with a defeat before Lechuza Caracas, but on Wednesday showed a different face, and easily dominated the game. After two very disputed chukkas, the Pablo Mac Donough – David Stirling Jr. tandem worked to perfection and goals came quickly.

The third and the fourth chukka got partial results of 7-3 and 12-5 respectively, are proof of Brunei’s superiority, impossible for Dos Lunas to keep up with.

With this victory, Brunei is more relaxed and after some well-deserved rest, prepares to face the undefeated Dubai tomorrow.

The Cartier Gold Cup resumes today on the Los Pinos fields with a double match day: at 5 pm Dubai will meet Lechuza Caracas on field 2, and after this, Dos Lunas A&G Banca Privada will take on Ayala Polo Team on Field 3.

Aerolíneas Argentinas Gold Cup – Medium Goal

The French team Sainte Mesme keeps undefeated in the Aerolíneas Argentinas Gold Cup and they remain at a steady pace to defend their title on the Gold Cup that they got last year.

The team formed by Louis Jarrige, Robert Strom, Clemente Zavaleta and Birger Strom won today against team Santa Quitería by 11-10 in a very rowdy match that was played on the Puente de Hierro fields on a new stage of the qualifiers on the 45th INDI International Polo Tournament. Meanwhile, Seven Sevens, the finalist of the Silver Cup, recovered the good vibes by categorically defeating Twenty/20 by 14-7.

The Aerolineas Argentinas Gold Cup doesn’t stop and will have today two more matches. At 11 am Brunei will meet Marqués de Riscal at Ayala Polo Club, and in the afternoon, on the main field of the Rio area of Santa María Polo Club, Royal Salute will meet Golden Goose Deluxe Brand at 6.30 pm.
