Qualification teams announced
Out of the 21 teams entered in the 2016 edition of La Copa Cámara de Diputados, 11 of the teams have entered the tournament directly with their team handicaps, the remaining 10 teams entered the tournament after a round of games to determine their qualifications. Plenty of names from the UK summer season appear in the team lists, as well as famous polo family names from Heguy to Novillo Astrada and the occasional Merlos. The Brit abroad contingent is represented with a flurry of top players with Malcolm Borwick (La Fija Namuncurá),Charlie Hanbury (El Remanso, 2015 title defenders) and three quarters of La Quinta; Ollie Cudmore, Mark Tomlinson and brother Luke Tomlinson will all be competing for the impressive silver cup. Canadian patron Fred Mannix’s brother Julian will also be flying the Hurlingham 1875 brand flag with his team Alegría HPA. Games are scheduled to begin on Friday 18 November.
