20 Goal Schedule Changes and Erskine Update
Champions Polo Club has moved the start and play dates for the much-anticipated fall 20 goal season. The USPA National 20 Goal is scheduled for November 12 – 20 and USPA North American Cup is set for November 16 – 23. In last year’s USPA National 20 Goal tournament, Audi’s team of Marc Ganzi, Jeff Blake, Sugar Erskine and Carlucho Arellano defeated Flexjet, 11-8, to win the coveted title. Erskine was named Most Valuable Player and his gelding Little Boy, was also named Best Playing Pony. Erskine will be side-lined for three months after a recent accident on a polo field. He underwent successful surgery in Houston. According to his family, he will be immobilised in a brace for three months. He is expected to be back on the polo field for the 2017 winter season.
