LAHORE: Hamza Mawaz Khan struck four times as Barry’s won the Shoe Planet Pakistan Polo Cup with a 7½-5 victory over Master Paints at the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground here on Sunday.
Hamza’s father Taimur Mawaz Khan also played well to hit a brace while Raja Samiullah scored the other goal for Barry’s, who had a half-goal handicap.
For Master Paints, Hissam Ali Hyder scored four goals with Ahmed Ali Tiwana scoring the other.
In the subsidiary final, Saqib Ali Khakwani starred with six goals as he inspired ZTBL to a remarkable come-from-behind 7½-6 victory over Dollar East who at one stage were leading 6-2½.
Murtuza Abbas Niazi scored the other goal for ZTBL while Sufi Muhammad Amir scored a hat-trick, Andres Crispo hit a double and Omar Asjad Malhi netted once for Dollar East.
