Hilario Ulloa Goes up to 10 Goals in the USA

UlloaThe Goal Maker Scored 35 Times in the US Open 2016
After a spectacular high goal season at the International Polo Club, Palm Beach, Argentine player Hilario Ulloa has been awarded a 10 goal handicap. He moved up to join the ranks of the top polo players in the world with a 10 goal status in Argentina after his stellar performance in the Argentine Open. When he claimed the title of top goal scorer after playing with his team Alegria Assist Card, all eyes were on the 30-year-old to see how his American season would go. Playing for White Birch, Ulloa once again proved himself to be an indispensible member of the White Birch team, often referred to as the ‘Yankees of polo’ due to their having won more high goal tournaments in the past 25 years than any other team, and the USPA has rewarded his prowess on the field as one of polo’s leading scorers. Ulloa, known for his speed, agility and a control of the ball, as well as his deadly accuracy in front of goal, scored an impressive 35 goals throughout the US Open tournament despite being knocked out in the Semi Final stages. This makes him the second highest goal scorer of the tournament after the irrepressible Facundo Pieres. The new 10 goaler, whose new handicap will come in to effect on 1 January 2017, will continue to compete out in the States this summer, based at the Greenwich Polo Club.
