JOCKEY CLUB OPEN – LA AGUADA, TO THE FINAL

ALEJANDRO NOVILLO ASTRADA SCORED THE WINNING GOAL IN EXTRA CHUKKER

La Aguada made their much awaited debut at the Jockey Club Open in a match against Cria Yatay, whose players are warming up for the qualification tournament for the Hurlingham and Palermo Opens.

La Aguada had Miguel Novillo Astrada, who made his comeback to the Argentine High Goal after taking a sabbatical season in 2015 from the Triple Crown. Lucas James played instead of injured Lerín Zubiaurre for Cria Yatay.

It was an even match, in which Cria Yatay had a strong start, leading 3-1 at halftime after 3 chukkers. But the Novillo Astrada’s team (with Rodrigo Andrade replacing Eduardo) really performed in the 4th chukker, scoring a 5-1 period. From then on, the parity increased and took the match into a new tie. Cría Yatay got an advantage of 10-9 in the last chukker, which was taken again by La Aguada and sent the match to extra chukker. It was then when Alejandro Novillo Astrada scored the winning goal seconds before the clock reached 01:30.

La Aguada will play final next Saturday against El Paso La Dolfina.
