The last stage of the traditional Indian Empire Shield was held at Coworth Park. This is one of the most important tournaments in England and the last 18 goal of the British season – a warm up for the final of the coveted Gold Cup for the British Open due to be played on Sunday at 3pm at Cowdray Park.
Marchfield beat Balck Bears 9 goals to 8 in the final to claim the Indian Empire Shield. Marchfield’s lineup was comprise by Saad Audeh, Federico Bodou, Manuel Plaza and Guillermo Terrera. Pancho Marin Moreno was their coach.
The Subsidiary Cup was won by 2015 Champions Aravali, after beating Four Quarters Orange 9-6.
Guillermo Terrera was named MVP, and his mare Vegas won BPP.
