LAHORE: Oye Hoye, Carlton Tower and Sherwood (Fresher) won their respective matches on the first day of the Fresher Juice Polo Cup 2016 at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Tuesday.
Oye Hoye faced a tough opposition from Rijas before wrapping up an 8-6 victory as Saqib Khan Khakwani hit six goals. Usman Malik added the two remaining goals for the winners.
Carlton Tower outpaced Terra Energy by nine goals to five in the second match of the day.
Adnan Jalil was also in sublime form and played not only impressive polo but also hammered splendid six goals.
Sherwood (Fresher) outlasted Qatalpur 9-3 in the third and last match of the day.
Hissam Ali Hyder was the prominent scorer for the winners with a tally of four goals while Hassan Mansoor scored all the three goals for the losing side.
