Following his accident, whilst playing polo at Ambersham on the 16 July, Peter remains at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. He was moved from Intensive Care to a High Dependency Unit on 4 August and, although he is still quite unwell, Peter is definitely ‘back’. Each day gets better and better.
Peter’s family has received an enormous number of requests as to where to send flowers and Get Well cards. They feel that Peter would rather give the money to a good cause and have set up a fundraising page for everyone who wishes to make a token donation in lieu of flowers and to leave a get well message for him. Any donations will therefore go to the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance (KSSAA) and their Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS). The family is in no doubt their rapid response was instrumental in saving Peter’s life.
As with most air ambulances across the UK, this is a registered charity, totally dependent on charitable donations and fundraising, and the family, therefore, feel it is right to do as much as they can to support them. http://www.virginmoneygiving.com/PeterBarfoot
