Easter does not only mark the end of Lent, but now also the polo-free season in Ibiza has finally come to an end. From 25-27 March the Ibiza Polo Club started into the new season with the Copa Semana Santa. Three teams had announced their attendance for the Easter chukkas and fought for victory in brilliant sunshine over three days.
In the end, Angela Walker, André Spillmann, Charles Randquist and Edoardo Fontana of Spilly Travel Polo Team wrapped it up and secured victory. POLO+10 Team, including Francesca Guise, Lorenzo Zuber, Thomas Wirth and Julio Rinaldi, was placed second, third place went to César Randquist, Ale Corte, Ivan Gallardo and Gabriel Iglesias of ME Ibiza Polo Club Team.
The Copa Semana Santa was a great start of the new Ibiza polo season – everyone agreed on that. And many more exciting highlights are awaiting us. Next tournament is the POLO+10 Patrons’ Cup, taking place from 22-24 April 2016 – a unique combination of polo tournament, party atmosphere and holiday feeling.
