This is made possible by Juan Martin Sarli, owner of La Tarde Polo Club and professional player, as well as his team of professional and qualified coaches. They are offering an individual training schedule to each guest, daily club chukkas and tournaments, detailed discussions of tactics, a family and affectionate atmosphere, polo facilities in top order and optimally trained polo horses.
The new season starts at the end of October 2016. This means until May 2017 the motto will be once again: “As much polo as you can take”. And this is not an empty promise: At La Tarde Polo Club each guest has the opportunity to play polo as much as they want to.
A typical day at La Tarde Polo Club
A typical day at La Tarde Polo Club starts with a collective breakfast buffet. This is followed by Stick & Ball with professional polo players and coaches, who put together an individual training programme for each guest. The training lasts two hours and subsequently tactics are being discussed and explained. Those, who still want more, get the opportunity to take lessons on the wooden horse. Following a collective lunch, the guests can relax at one of the two swimming pools or at the spa, enjoy a massage or simply take a siesta. In the afternoon another four to six chukkas are played. Juan Martin Sarli: “Because of our Argentinean club members our guests have the chance to play fast and good polo. And each one is integrated into the match, the experienced players as well as the inexperienced. Following an unforgettable sunset, which is a real spectacle here, we have a delicious asado or a homemade dinner.”

Utmost importance is attached to community and hospitality. All activities are done mutually and the hosts do everything to make sure that the guests feel at home at La Tarde Polo Club. La Tarde Polo Club is a family business run by the second generation. Longevity and sustainability are two important keywords for the club. Among other things, each year the Sarli family plants trees and in the future the club shall be provided with solar energy. The goal: to become 100 % sustainable.
The polo fields are ready for the new season. Just like the horses, which have already been trained for a few weeks. Juan Martin Sarli: “This year we want to organise even more tournaments for our guests, because we want to offer them as much tournament experience as possible. Furthermore, this year we have many new horses due to our breeding programme and we look forward to play them.”

The name “La Tarde” in Spanish means sunset and afternoon. The club is called like this because it offers a fantastic view of the sunset. The clubhouse was built so that the guests can sit there in the evening and enjoy the panoramic view of the landscape and the sunset of Argentina.
