The 2016 season began on Sunday, May 15, with the first games of the season: four international 6-10 goal teams kicked off the Coupe de L´Hippocampe.
The polo club opened its doors by welcoming VIPs and visitors to the terrace. Guests were also invited to visit the new restaurant POLO 1999, which hosted an equestrian show and live music after the awards ceremony.
The first match was a tight contest between the Polo 1999 team and El Porteno Milan Polo Club. It was a battle to the end, but the game finished in a 5-all tie.
In the final, Corinne Schuler’s St. Tropez Polo Team were dominated early in the game by the F Polo Team, but in the last chukka they managed to score a couple of times. The final score was 6-4.
VIPs enjoyed local wines and delicious bites of argentine meat and peruvian ceviche.
The opening dinner took place before the show of the Compagnie des Quidams, where the graceful horses enchanted the audience.
