Players, patrons, directors and sponsors attended last thursday the draw of the 112th US Open, the culminating tournament of the US season in Palm Beach.
The tournament will showcase eight teams, broken down into two brackets, and will kick off on April 2 with two games: Lucchese vs Flexjet and Coca-Cola vs Dubai. The final is scheduled for April 24.
But there have been more news besides of the order of play of the tournament. Two of the teams will feature some changes in their foursomes. The most highlighted one is the arrival of Juan Martin Nero to Orchard Hill in replace of injured Polito Pieres. The player from La Dolfina will share team again with Facundo Pieres after playing in Ellerstina during 3 seasons (2008-2010). The other team with changes will be White Birch with the arrival of Mariano Obregon.
Bracket 1: White Birch, Valiente, Coca Cola, Dubai
Bracket 2: Lucchese, Flex Jet, Orchard Hill, Audi
Juan Martín Nero: “I never played with Facu outside Argentina. And the last I played with him was the final of the Argentine Open in 2010. I’m very lucky because I will play with him now in the Us Open, which is lots of fun, and then I will play with Adolfito in England on a great organisation as Dubai. I can’t ask for more. And then again with Lechuza in August so it’s amazing what is coming. I’m going to play a couple of practices and then we start playing next sunday. It’s a good chance to get to know the horses well before the Us Open”.
