As we getting closer to the most important moment of the Argentine season, our Social column is back with some interesting news.
Due to heavy rains, the Tortugas and Hurlingham Opens had to postpone several games. However, the weather didn’t dampen spirits.
Agus Wernicke de Pieres, Isabelle Zavaleta, Angie Pedreira de Pieres and Ceci Pieres shared a few laughs at a painting class. Meanwhile, over at El Remanso, the new Hanbury family that await their first son, who will join their two Jack Russell puppies, Scratch and Sniff.
Juan Pepa and his fiancee Juana Schindler are also expecting. They have returned to Argentina with their luggage full of things for the baby.
On the other end of the continent, Kris and Ali Kampsen celebrated the birth of their son Rowan Alexander Kampsen. Congratulations!
Players and polo fans alike did not miss out on the opportunity to celebrated Halloween this past weekend, nut none did it like the USPA, who celebrated the First Annual Poloween Tournament in the Franklin Polo Academy… Everyone had to dress up – players and horses!
Nacho Figueras and Delfi Blaquier attended the wedding of Nieves Zuberbuhler and Julio Santo Domingo; many flew over from Argentina to join stars from the international fashion world, Carolina de Monaco and many more in the celebrations. Delfina was dressed as Helen of Troy, while Nacho made a very convincing Batman.
But the true protagonist of this past weekend was Hollywood star Al Pacino, who visited La Aguada for a day of polo and asado.
As Palermo is nears, so do the most important social events: the Argentine Open presentation, the FIP gala, the traditional Christian Polo Family dinner party, and of course, Thai Polo Argentina’s fun closing party, which in its third edition is already considered one of the best celebrations of the season.
