Zedan defeated Edrees 7-6 in the second day of the Dubai Challenge Cup. The tournament is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and part of Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series.
It was a tough victory for Zedan, not only because they achieved the win in OT, but also because Nachi Heguy, who arrived early this morning to replace an injured Pablo Mac Donough, suffered a hard fall in the last seconds of the fourth chukker and was forced to leave the field. Guillermo Terrera replaced Heguy and Zedan won the match in extra chukker after a great goal by Martín Gándara. Heguy and Gándara scored 3 goals each for Zedan while Edrees’ Tito Ruíz Guiñazú was the top scorer of the match with 5 goals.
