COPA DE ORO IN SOTOGRANDE: SEMIFINALS SET

DUBAI BEAT DOS LUNAS AND EARNS LAST SPOT

With two matches for the high goal category, the Copa de Oro resumed on Wednesday at the Santa Maria Polo Club, in Sotogrande. The matchday was really important since there was one last spot available for the semifinals. The schedule was as follows:

HIGH GOAL
Lechuza 11-8 Ayala
Dos Lunas 10-11 Dubai

With this win, title holders Dubai joins Lechuza, Ayala and La Indiana, already qualified to the semis during the previous matchday. These thrilling matches took place at Los Pinos fields. Lechuza beat Ayala 11-8 which gave them the first position in the table.

Pablo Mac Donough (Dubai): “;It was a tough match. We had a good lead in one moment, we were winning by 3 and with good chances of widen the distance. But they made a great comeback, we were one goal behind in the scoreboard into the last chukker, but fortunately we won it, which was the only important thing today.”

Thus, the High Goal semifinals will have the following schedule of play:
Friday:
5:15pm: Ayala vs Dubai
6:45pm: Lechuza vs La Indiana

MEDIUM GOAL
The draw and order of play for the final stages of the Medium Goal is the following:

Semifinals, Thursday:
5:15pm: Equus vs Bardon
6:45pm: Royal Salute vs Marques de Riscal

Subsidiary Final:
Saturday, 4:30pm: Golden Goose vs Twenty/20

Final: Saturday, August 26th, 6pm.

LOW GOAL
The Low Goal category will continue as follows:
Semifinals, Thursday:
11am: Jolly Rogers vs La Clarita
12:15pm: Sapphire vs FCT-Sotovila

Subsidiary Final:
Sunday, 11am: La Mangosta vs Sardañola

Final: Sunday, August 27th, 12:15pm.
