Despite the unusual deluge of rain, the Malaysian polo season finally got underway in April with the RMPA Polo Masters presented by Maserati, and the RSPC Tempawan Cup, which featured a test match series between Malaysia, Hong Kong and the Royal Selangor Polo Club (RSPC). Internationally the FIP World Cup Playoffs and World Patron Challenge, both held in Thailand, and Polo In The Valley (Perth, Australia), all earned PEPPR points in this 1st May update of PoloEquestrian.com’s Polo Player Rankings.
Tengku Shazril has consolidated his lead at the top of the rankings. Both Tengku Sahzril and Saladin Mazlan added 672 PEPPR points on their performances in the World Cup qualifier and the Tempawan Cup test matches.
RMPA and RSPC President Dato’ Mohamed Moiz was the biggest mover of non-national team players, earning 380 points from four tournaments, two of which were overseas.
There are seven new entries to the PEPPR list, which now ranks 127 players on their performances in PEPPR recognised tournaments in Asia.
