#UK 2017 HIGH GOAL HANDICAP CHANGES

The HPA has introduced separate handicaps for the 22 goal for 2018. This means a player could be rated differently in the 22 goal (higher, lower or the same) as other levels. For international tournaments or overseas the highest handicap will apply.

The HPA has also announced the 22 goal handicap changes, which applies to all 22 goal players, including subs from The Queen’s Cup and Gold Cup.

22 Goal Increases:
Agustin Merlos & Nicolás Pieres: 8 to 9
Ollie Cudmore: 5 to 6
Tommy Beresford & Martin Podestá: 4 to 5
Hugo Lewis & Jack Hyde: 3 to 4
James Fewster & Hugo Taylor: 1 to 2
Ned Hine & Will Harper: 0 to 1
22 Goal Decreases:
David Stirling: 10 to 9
Cristian Laprida & Fred Mannix: 8 to 7
John Paul Clarkin: 7 to 6
George Hanbury: 3 to 2
Alessandro Bazzoni: 1 to 0
  • All 22 goal players, including subs (from Queen’s Cup and Gold Cup) handicaps were agreed at the High Goal Committee Meeting on Wednesday 26th July 2017.
  • All these changes are subject to ratification by the Stewards after the End of Season (Remaining Players) Meeting on Friday 15th September, the handicaps will become effective on the 1st January 2018.
