Young Polo Club, Uruguay- unforgettable polo match

In Young city, the RIO NEGRO POLO CLUB, had an unforgettable Saturday.
This Polo Club, which is 300 km of distance from Montevideo, in Uruguay, saw the birth of two of Polo’s greatest players Alejo Taranco and David Stirling.
The club had the pleasure of having in N1 field the 40 goals team of La Dolfina, with all their stars, Adolfo Cambiaso, Pelon Stirling, Pablo MacDonough and Juan M. Nero.
On the other team was Rio Negro with; Diego Cavanagh, Eduardo “Ruso” Heguy, Jejo Taranco, and Ignacio Novillo, a 30 goal team.
This match was held as a charity event , for Centro Esperanza, this center is a organization that works with under privileged chlildren. 3000 visitors arrived at the club, from all parts of the country alongwith spectators from Argentina and Brazil.
It was a historic match, the first time that La Dolfina, played outside Argentina with all four of it’s members.
Rio Negro Polo Club, is the oldest club in Uruguay. Next year this great club will make 100 years of history.
