Regal Warriors, Ojo Caliente, SAPA Docklands Polo & HB Polo through to the Semi Finals

This week has seen continued action from the Arena Gold Cup at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club. Following a strong first week, the early leaders Regal Warriors have secured their spot in the Semi Finals despite a loss to Tchogan yesterday. They will face HB Polo in the 2.30pm Semi Final match tomorrow, Thursday 22 February, whilst Ojo Caliente will come up against 2017 winners SAPA Docklands Polo at 1pm. The Arena Gold Cup Final will take place at 2pm on Saturday 24 February, whilst the Silver Cup Final will take place at 11am that day. Polo Times will be proudly supporting the Best Playing Pony rug, whilst The Polo Magazine will be sponsoring the Most Valuable Player Award. Tickets for the annual Gold Cup Lunch are available at £65 per person. Lunch includes a three-course meal with wine and water on the table and the ticket also includes entry to the Clubhouse for the evening where DJ Paul Linney will be playing and the bar will be open until 12.30am.

This event will mark the end of this prestigious tournament and hail the last moments of the winter polo season at RCBPC. Tickets for the evening event are £10 each, available in advance and on the door. Numbers are limited so please get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
This year will also see the inaugural Ladies Arena British Open running alongside the Arena Gold Cup. The tournament has come together as the brain child of Rosie Ross and will see four sponsored teams of evenly matched players. The teams, who are be sponsored by Tally Ho Farm, Minuty, Glitterati Polo and Hurlingham 1875, were presented in a welcome event on Saturday evening, with representatives from each sponsor and the team players presented to the press. The first round of matches will kick off on Friday 23 February and the Final will be played just before the Arena Gold Cup Final this Saturday.
