Argentex Habtoor UAE Reign Triumphant in Dubai

Flannels England miss out

As the winter draws to an end, a young Flannels England team flew 3,400 miles to Dubai to take on local team Argentex Habtoor UAE. The teams took to the field to play for an exact replica of the first ever Coronation Cup trophy, awarded in 1911.

In a closely fought match, the Flannels England boys couldn’t quite keep up with the considerable pace being held by the Argentex Habtoor UAE Team. The local team scored the first goal and this was the beginning of the end for Flannels England. The England side lost 6-2 to the local team, but despite the loss, it was all smiles at the end of the visit.
