LA INDIANA TO SEMIFINALS; THE WHOLE DRAW WILL BE SET ON SUNDAY
Two games were played on Wednesday and one on Thursday at the Joe Barry Memorial Cup. In the first one on Wednesday, Coca-Cola took the first big advantage in the game in the fourth chukker on a very tight match, 6-4. But Pilot was relying on the Pieres brothers and their handicap, and the game was tied in 6. But Julio Arellano scored his fourth in the afternoon to give Coca-Cola the lead again. The last chukker was goalless and Coca-Cola took a very important win.

LA INDIANA 13-12 TRAVIESO
Two of the best teams so far in the competition met up. The winner would earn a spot in the semifinals. Very tight game. Travieso took the first advantage in the opening chukker, 2-0. But a great comeback by La Indiana, also in the first chukker, gave Michael Bickford’s team the lead, 4-2.
La Indiana reached halftime leading by 1, but Sebastian Merlos, top scorer of the competition was there to tie the game in 9 in the fourth. And from then until the end of the sixth chukker, the teams exchanged goals so the match went to overtime, 12-12. And in the first minute of the extra chukker, Facundo Obregon scored the winning goal for La Indiana and gave his team the qualification to semifinals.

GOOSE CREEK 12-7 POSTAGE STAMP
On Thursday, Goose Creek and Postage Stamp were looking both for their first win in the Joe Barry Memorial. Great performance by Mariano Gonzalez on a new season playing for Goose Creek. Not only he scores but also he manage the way the team plays. Maureen Brennan’s team took a great advantage in the fifth after scoring 10 consecutive goals, 11-3.
From then on, Goose Creek controlled the difference in the scoreboard and got a very important and solid 12-7 win. The whole semifinals draw will be set on Sunday after the last group stage matchday.
