A COMPLETE INSIGHT IN THE POLYWOOD ARENA POLO CUP
Polywood Arena Polo Tournament conducted by Polywood Polo Academy brought a change in the realm of Polo. The Polywood Arena Polo Cup, 2018 was in action between 25th – 30th September 2018, where the timings of the match remained 7:30pm-8:30pm. The matches were played after sunset in flood lights, where a total of 8 teams had participated from across the country.
The finals of the tournament was played between Polywood, Jaipur and Chandna Group, Jaipur. The end of the match saw Chandna winning Group availing the title, marking a new beginning of Polo in the country.
The tournament was a pleasure to watch as it had some of the finest players performing, for instance, HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur played for him team ‘Jaipur’ during the tournament. HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur has been as an epitome and mentor for the young generation as he is taking forward the culture of the royal sports Polo. Simran Shergill, Col. Ravi Rathore, Abhimanyu Pathak, Lokendra Singh, Uday Kalan, Lt. Col. Vishal Chauhan were some other renowned players who took part in the Arena Polo.
Polywood Arena Polo Tournament was a novel experience for everyone, giving rise to adrenaline rush among the players as well as the onlookers. The development of Polywood Polo Academy is an outcome of passion and love that Honorable Mr. Digvijay Dhabriya of Dhabriya Group of Companies has for Polo as well as horses. The Polywood Polo Academy is situated near Jhalana Mountain Ranger, Jaipur, Rajasthan over a place of 10 acres. The academy is affiliated with the Indian Polo Association and is well facilitated with all kinds of amenities related to Polo as well as horses. The success of this Polywood Arena Polo Tournament 2018 is credited to Mr. Digvijay Dhabriya along with Polywood Polo Academy Secretary and resident Polo player Bhawani Kalvi. It is out of their effort that the tournament turned out well, moreover they plan to take it forward by expanding it to international level Arena Polo League in near future.
