India-B, represented by Manipur team earned a hard fought 4-3 win against France in a dreary encounter while England demolished India-A 12-2 in a one sided encounter to extend their prolific run at the 13th Manipur Polo International-2019 which is underway at Mapal Kangjeibung under the auspices of Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association.
The two teams started slowly and the game hardly got any spark until P Ojit opened up the account for Manipur in the last minute of the first chukker.
The second chukker saw Clement Glosset of France score two goals through a spot kick and a 30 yards penalty while P Ojit grabbed his second for Manipur to make it 2-2 till halfway.
T Pradeep then chipped in a goal to give Manipur the headway in the third chukker as France drew blank.
P Ojit then cruised to his third goal and helped Manipur the two goal advantage before Clement Glosset too found his third goal but it was not enough for the team to draw level.
Earlier in the lopsided sided encounter, Ben Eley proved his mettle by scoring 5 goals alone to help rampant England decimate India-A 12-2 .
Ben Eley opened up the account in the 4th minute of the first chukker before adding another in the 5th minute while his team mates, Will Seth Smith and George Amor added a goal each before India A found a goal in the last minute through Vijay Singh to make the scoreline read 1-4 .
England seemed to take a break in the second chukker and it was Ram Singh who scored the only goal of the chukker.
It also proved to be the last goal for India-A before facing the major upset as England Captain and Chris Crawford consolidated three goals each and Will Seth Smith added two more goals to their tally in the latter chukkers.
