Gold Cup: Scone and VS King Power to semifinals

The Gold Cup for the British Open, one of the most prestigious polo trophies worldwide, hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club, resumed on Saturday with the first two matches of the quarterfinals. The coveted competition features a total of 10 teams up to 22 goals in participation.

First up, Queen’s Cup winners Scone beat again Talandracas as they did in the same stage of the tournaments played at Guards Polo Club. The win came after a goal scored by Nico Pieres in extra chukker.

Up next, in a very tight match VS King Power, last team to qualify to the quarterfinals, defeated unbeaten Murus Sanctus.

THE FINAL OF THE GOLD CUP IS DUE ON SUNDAY JULY 21ST.
