Valiente crowned as champions
The All-Star Challenge Final is the first Final of the 2020 World Polo League, the brainchild of Melissa Ganzi and Bob Jornayvaz, which is the only 26 goal tournament outside of Argentina. Yesterday, Sunday 16 February, Valiente and SD Farms faced each other at Grand Champions Polo Club’s CoCo Cabana Stadium having survived the 10 team, single elimination tournament. Last year was the first year for World Polo League, and Valiente (albeit with a different line-up) had secured the inaugural All-Star Challenge Final.
Would they be able to successfully defend their title?SD Farms and Valiente had reached the Final following hard fought Semi Finals on Thursday (13 February) and Friday (14 February) in which they defeated Seminole Casino and Casablanca respectively to take their place in Sunday’s Final.
As crowds of supporters looked on, Valiente once again secured the title with a strong 12-10 win over SD Farms, meanwhile Richard Mille (Melissa Ganzi, Alejandro Novillo Astrada, Nic Roldan & Lucas James) secured the Subsidiary Cup for The All-Star Challenge.
