Gold Cup will now begin on 1 July
Today, Friday 19 June, the Hurlingham Polo Association announced their latest high goal update: “The Prince of Wales at RCBPC is due to finish on Wednesday 24 June and there will then be a week’s break to allow teams to make any final preparations before the start of the Gold Cup on Wednesday 1 July.
The final of the Gold Cup will now be played on Sunday 26 July. The variance rules will be reviewed before the start of the Gold Cup and currently there are no other date changes.” The Prince of Wales Trophy at The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club was originally due to begin on Friday 12 June, but was postponed until Monday 15 June which created a knock on effect for the rest of the high goal dates with The Prince of Wales Final now being played on Wednesday 24 June. The Gold Cup had been scheduled to begin on Tuesday 23 June with the Final on 19 July but will now instead start on Wednesday 1 July, with the Final to be played on Sunday 26 July.
