Prepare yourself, polo fans, the Standard Chartered Gold Cup (Dubai Open) is making its way to Dubai for 2020, and this year it promises to be a celebration unlike any other.
The Dubai Open, held under the Patronage of HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, has been regarded as one of the biggest polo tournaments in the Middle East – and with very good reason.
Pulling out all the stops, the hugely-anticipated event offers polo fans a chance to watch one of the highest ranked tournaments in the Middle East, Africa and Asia live, bringing in royalties, celebrities, VIPs from the Dubai social scene, polo enthusiasts and families.
Taking place at the Dubai’s Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, The Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series is comprised of five tournaments namely the Silver Cup, Polo Masters Cup, Standard Chartered Gold Cup, Dubai Challenge Cup and Dubai Cup.
The final day of the Dubai Open kicks off on Friday March 6 from noon onwards, and there will be plenty of fun-filled activities for everyone to enjoy.
Like what, you ask? Expect a list of entertainment acts, a fashion show and a dedicated kid’s area to keep the little ones entertained with fun activities.
