Moscow Arena Polo Cup

Polo Times is involved as Media Partners in an exciting new venture with World Polo – The Moscow Arena Polo Cup Red Square. World Polo was founded in 1987 by Reto Gaudenzi and has been responsible for iconic tournaments across the globe, including the founding of the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz and the Beach Polo World Cup in Miami. 

On 28 August, World Polo will make history with the first ever polo match on Red Square in Moscow, the polo match will form part of the Spasskaya Festival which is one of the largest musical events of the year. There will be a specially created sand arena just for the event, complete with VIP Tent, with four teams confirmed – Planernaya Polo Club Moscow, Evviva Polo Club St. Moritz, La Alegria Polo Farm and Grand Champions Polo Cub.

The event will also be twinned with Planernaya Polo Club Moscow, with players trialling horses and taking part in practice chukkas as well as taking part in The Polo World Cup Moscow at the Club. 2022 will see World Polo organise the first FIP European Polo Championship in Azerbaijan with eight European teams competing in Baku.
