Three teams played two match each of two chukkers and after a tough contest, Newage/Rizvi’s qualified for the subsidiary final after winning both of their matches. In the first two-chukker match, Newage/Rizvi’s beat Remounts 3½-3. From Newage, who had a half goal handicap advantage, Salvador Ulloa struck a brace and Salvador Jauretche hit one. From Remounts, Ignacio Negri banged in a brace and Bilal Haye hit one. Newage/Rizvi’s won the second two-chukker match as well by thrashing DS Polo/ASC 4½-0. From the winning side, which had a half goal handicap, Salvador Ulloa hammered a hat-trick and Salvador Jauretche scored one.
The third match of the day saw Remounts outpacing DS Polo/ASC 5-2. From Remounts, Ignacio Negri converted three while Vieri Antinori and Bilal Haye struck one each. From DS Polo, Hissam Ali Hyder hit a brace. Today (Friday), the first match will be played at 12 am between Barry’s and FG Polo to decide second subsidiary finalist while the winners of next two matches will earn place in the main final. BN Polo will play against Diamond Paints at 2pm while Master Paints will vie against Master Paints Black at 3pm.
