IMPHAL, Mar 21 : Tekcham Polo Club-A will lock horns with Thoubal District Polo Association-A in the final of the 1st Thoubal District Polo Tournament organised by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association at Tekcham Kangjeibung.
Tekcham Polo Club-A thrashed Thoubal District Polo Association-B 10-0 to set up a final date with Thoubal District Polo Association-A who edged out Tentha Polo Club-A 3-2 earlier in the day.
M Doren topscored for Tekcham PC-A with three goals in his name while S Ranjit and S Sadananda shared two goals apiece in this one-sided semi-final clash. M Kuper, L Kokeshor and M Abhigyan also added a goal each in Tekcham PC-A’s tally.
Earlier in the first semi-final match, S Naoba scored twice for Tentha Polo Club-A but his efforts went in vain as Thoubal District Polo Association-A rode on a double by Th Kabita Singh and a single from M Manihar Singh to win 3-2.
