East Rand Polo Club hosts tournament at Bapsfontein

Six clubs, 50 players and more than 250 horses were part of the competition.

The East Rand Polo Club on Polo Drive, Bapsfontein held the Campbell and Bes Macnab Memorial Tournament last weekend which was played over three days.

Six clubs, 50 players and more than 250 horses were part of the competition.

This tournament was in memory of two of the founding members, Campbell Macnab who passed away in 1964 at the young age of 50 and his wife, Bess Macnab, following a 74 year-relationship with East Rand Polo Club.

The couple played polo competitively for many years and were known for their passion for horses and a great love for the game of kings.

Both Campbell and Bess represented their province in polo and were the driving force of the club during its formation.
