Tennessee will take on Kentucky in a charity polo match hosted by Franklin Polo Academy at the Tractor Supply Co. Arena at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin on July 16, benefiting Angel Heart Farm.
Angel Heart Farm is a nonprofit organization in College Grove that uses equine-assisted therapy for children facing chronic or life-threatening illness and their families in conjunction with their medical treatments. It’s the only program of its kind in Middle Tennessee and serves children who are facing a host of illnesses, including all forms of cancer, brain tumors, heart, liver issues, blood disorders, cystic fibrosis and several other life-threatening illnesses.
Tickets for the match will be sold the day of the event for $15 per person, and children 10 and under will be admitted free. There will be a limited capacity.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with the match beginning at 7.
Friends of Franklin Parks will offer concession food and drinks. Adult beverages will include wine and beer. All proceeds from concession sales will go back into helping maintain The Park at Harlinsdale Farm.
Kids activities at the match will include lawn games and stick horse races at halftime.
