The much awaited 2022 polo season in Argentina is set to commence on Sunday September 4, with the final of the San Jorge Open, due at Palermo. The follow-up will be the Jockey Club Open, the tournament that that preceeds the most coveted polo trophy in the world, the Argentine Triple Crown, composed by the Tortugas Open, Hurlingham Open and the peak of the season, the Argentine Open, with the much anticipated championship match will be played on Friday December 2, at Palermo.
As usual, the polo season in Argentina will include tournaments for all tastes and level of play, for men, ladies and kids; the Remonta and Veterinaria Cup – the qualifiers for two tickets to play the Argentine Open; the Torneo Municipalidad de Pilar, Provincia de Buenos Aires Cup, Cámara de Diputados Cup, and the Ladies Open, just to name a few of the most remarkable competitions within the season.
Ellerstina Pilot and Martindale will open fire on Sunday September 4, with the final of the San Jorge Open, due on ground 2 at the Cathedral, at 3pm. It is worth noting that Curtis Pilot, who will be joined by the three Pieres brothers, Gonzalito, Facundo and Nicolás, already played and won the San Jorge Open in 2019, and will also be in participation in the upcoming Jockey Club Open.
