21 teams competing over high, medium & low goal
Monday 25 July, sees the start of the 51st Sotogrande International Polo Tournament, with 21 teams competing across the high, medium and low goal sections for The Volvo Bronze Cup (25 – 30 July), The Terralpa Silver Cup (1 – 13 August) and The Globant Gold Cup (15 – 27 August). This year sees the low goal level raised from 4-6 to 6-8 goals. Some of the top players will be taking part including, Barto Castagnola, Camilo Castagnola, Polito Pieres, Guillermo Caset (champion of the High Goal Gold Cup in 2021, will return with Marqués de Riscal), Alejandro Muzzio, Juan Ruiz Guiñazú, Joaquín Pittaluga, Santiago Cernadas, Pascual Sáinz de Vicuña, Robert Strom, Pelayo Berazadi, Louis Hine (straight from his British Open and Coronation Cup wins) and Matt Perry, (recent British Open finalist), will go in search of glory in Sotogrande.
