Cowdray Gold Cup Begins Next Week

The opening week includes 11 matches

The British Open Polo Championship for The Cowdray Gold Cup begins on Tuesday 27 June at Cowdray Park Polo Club! The much anticipated 22 goal tournament and the penultimate high goal competition in the UK sees 15 teams competing across three leagues from Tuesday 27 June for a coveted place in the Final on Sunday 23 July. All of the teams are hot from The Cartier Queen’s Cup, which saw Murus Sanctus take the win, although for The Cowdray Gold Cup their line-up has slightly changed with patron Corinne Ricard replaced by Gold Cup stalwart Eduard Carmignac and therefore the team now playing as Talandracas. Green Gates is the only new team to join the high goal competition, their first foray into the English 22 goal, but following their 2022 successes in the Victor Ludorum series 18 goal, there are high hopes for the newcomers on familiar turf at Cowdray Park Polo Club. The opening week of matches are as follows:
