LAHORE: Charlotte Amy scored three times but it wasn’t enough as Phillipa Henry, who got two, ended up on the winning side.
The duo were among three female players who got on the scoresheet at the Lahore Smart City Polo in Pink Tournament on Wednesday.
Amy was the star performer for Noorpur Bandobast but it was Henry’s ZS Polo, carrying a 1½-goal handicap, who won the match 11½-4 with Omer Minhas and Zuraiz Shehzad scoring three goals each.Sofia Dean Ali Khan scored a goal but also ended up on the losing side as DS Polo/Sheikhoo Steel beat Black Horse Paints 7-5½. Omar Asjad Malhi scored all the goals for the winners.
In the day’s other matches, three goals each by Mumtaz Abbas Niazi and Agha Musa Ali Khan saw Lahore Smart City edge Master Paints 6-5½ while four goals by Bilal Haye and three from Ahmed Ali Tiwana helped Pebble Breaker overcome Newage Cables 7-5.
