Under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South), Keithelmanbi battalion organised a friendly Polo match between Assam Rifles Polo team and KIPCHA Polo Club, Imphal West, at Thangmaiband Polo Ground on Thursday.
According to PRO IGAR (South), the event saw a tough competition from both the teams and the match ended in a draw, adding that, similar matches are conducted from time to time with many of the local Polo teams in Imphal in an effort by the Assam Rifles to keep the spirit of the sport alive and build bonhomie between all players.
Keithelmanbi Battalion has always been enthusiastic in conducting games and sports for various communities all over Imphal valley which has brought the local populace closer towards the force, the PRO added.
