The Justerini & Brooks Prince of Wales Trophy, the opening 22-goal tournament of the season in England, is set to commence on Wednesday May 10. As usual, the contest is due to take place at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, ocated in Winkfield, near Windsor.
The Justerini & Brooks Prince of Wales Trophy is one of the most important competitions in English Polo. It’s been played since 1986, in the club established by the late Bryan Morrison, the renowned music mogul who has managed the careers of several rock icons, such as Pink Floyd, The Jam, The Bee Gees, The Police and George Michael, among others. The club was officially opened in 1985 by the then HRH The Prince of Wales, today His Majesty King Charles III, who also was named its first member.
The 2023 Justerini & Brook Prince of Wales Trophy will see ten teams up to 22 goals, to battle for the title. Teams are split in two leagues. Current title holders, Twelve Oaks, is among the participants; precisely, Twelve Oaks will open fire on Wednesday May 10, against Park Place, the recent winners of the US Open. The match will set to be played at 12pm.
The final of the Justerini & Brook Prince of Wales Trophy is due on Saturday May 20.
